The quality of digital projection

Alan Brown, Marketing Manager at Hughes-JVC, compares the process to scan a photo: “Every frame of film is then read and stored on a computer.” Movies with Marilyn Monroe, Fred Astaire and Humphrey Bogart are translated into digital format at Metro Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and Universal for the amount of 80,000 to 100,000 dollars. To use vhs to dvd you only need a video cassette player, video cable, a video input on your PC and the right software.
Eye will recognize differences quality between the two digital projection systems? “Probably not,” admits Alan Brawn, “both systems give clear, fantastic.” Obviously then added advantages of their system: “Based on our construction combined analogue and digital technology, our projections show a rather film with Digital Light Processing image is rather harsh and digital.”

Equipment for converting

We all have old VHS tapes laying around but we are tired of using that old equipment. VCR or should I say Video Cassette Recording are buggy and they can ruin your VHS tape. The best way is to store them in a digital copy let us take for an example DVD. For those who do not know DVD stands for Digital Video Disc or Digital Versatile Disc. The only thing you need is a converter a vhs to dvd like the one from Roxio. There are a lot of programs out there that can make this kind of conversion. The duration for a conversion is as the time of the recorded part of your vhs tape. After your conversion you can easily store your digital copy because it occupies a smaller space then VHS version.
